The face covering is no longer mandatory during a flight in the United States

A Florida federal judge on Monday struck down the Biden administration’s mandatory mask mandate for airplanes and other public transportation, effective immediately. Following this ruling, the Biden administration announced that the TSA would no longer enforce the federal mandate requiring masks at all US airports and on board aircraft.

Here is a list of airlines that have publicly stated that wearing a mask is now optional during a flight:

United Airlines

American Airlines

Alaska Airlines

Jetblue

Several other companies have also declared that the mask is no longer mandatory on their flights: Delta, Spirit, Frontier and Southwest.
